New, sharper-edged grooves are spaced closer together for increased friction, imparting more spin (up to 400 rpm in testing) for precise distance and trajectory control from full swings and finesse shots. The enhanced sole grinds and lead edges in the 431SS heads have been carefully crafted for exceptional surface interaction and versatility, gliding through the turf and sand to enable creativity in shot making.
These specialized grooves increase the spin rate for more control and precision on full and partial shots and offer exceptional spin consistency from both dry and wet conditions.
To ensure Glide 2.0 wedges match your game, you can be fit for a sole grind based on your attack angle, divot depth, and most common turf conditions: SS Grind, WS Grind, TS Grind, or ES Grind.
An all-purpose mid-bounce sole with heel and trail edge relief to create versatility on touch shots around the green. Ideal for moderate attack angles and divots. Fits most golfers.
Full-sole design that provides turf security for players with a steep angle of attack. The reduced camber and added width prevent the sole from skipping into the ball.
A PING WRX-inspired design based on the Tour-proven half-moon grind. The TS grind facilitates shot making and precision from even the most difficult lies. The heel relief allows shots to be executed with an open face to difficult pins or from firm lies without fear of the lead edge sitting too high.
Eye 2-inspired sole design provides the ultimate in bunker performance, resulting from the classic dish profile along with the tapered hosel. A refined lead edge upgrades all-around performance with the iconic ES grind.
By gripping down on this ¾-inch-longer grip, you can be a more versatile shot maker and achieve trajectory control on every shot. Reduced taper further enhances shot making.

PING offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet your needs and preferences. Selecting the proper shaft flex for your swing will help you get the most distance and accuracy from every shot. Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more-flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory.
The choice of steel or graphite shafts is usually based on preferences for weight and/or feel. Players seeking a lighter overall weight and/or a softer feel in their irons may prefer graphite shafts, while players who prefer a standard-weight club with a firmer feel may prefer steel shafts.
We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.
|Grip||Size | Color Code||Description|
|PING DYLA-WEDGE||A 3/4-inch-longer grip encourages gripping down for trajectory control and added versatility on finesse shots. Grip-down markings at 1 3/8-inch intervals guide hand placement. A softer tapering profile improves feel when utilizing the lower grip-down markings.|
|PING 5L||The 5L grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. It is available in two versions - round for clubs with PING's Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.|
|PING 5L Cord||The 5L cord grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. Cord construction provides an extra-secure grip in all conditions. It is available in two versions - round for clubs with PING's Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.|
PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.
PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
An extremely precise wheel-cut milling process developed by PING’s engineering and manufacturing teams enables grooves with a sharper edge radius, which increases interaction with the cover of the ball at impact, creating more friction for improved spin and trajectory control.
The grooves in the lower-lofted wedges (46°, 50° & 52°) are milled with a 20° sidewall and a .005" edge radius for optimal full-shot performance. The higher-lofted versions (54°, 56°, 58° & 60°) are milled to a .004" edge radius and a 28° sidewall to impart more spin, especially around the greens. In testing, Tour players are seeing spin-rate increases of 1,000-1,500 rpm on partial shots (40 to 70 yards) and gains of more than 500 rpm on full shots when compared to their current wedges.
By spacing the precision-milled grooves closer together, PING’s engineers designed the lower-lofted options with one additional groove (compared to the original Glide wedge) to increase spin and control on full shots. The higher-lofted versions feature two more grooves for more spin on chip and pitch shots. The soft, 431 stainless steel heads are distinguished by a hydropearl chrome finish, which adds a new level of performance by repelling moisture for reduced sole friction to prevent fliers.
Key refinements to the four sole grinds (SS, WS, ES, TS) ensure Glide 2.0 wedges can be fit to your divot depth or attack angle and most common turf conditions. The SS Grind has an all-purpose mid-bounce sole with heel and trail edge relief to create versatility on touch shots around the green. It's ideal for moderate attack angles and divots so the SS Grind fits most golfers. The WS Grind's full-sole design provides turf security if you have a steep angle of attack. The TS Grind, a PING WRX-inspired design based on the Tour-proven half-moon grind, facilitates shot making and precision from even the most difficult lies. The heel relief allows shots to be executed with an open face to difficult pins or from firm lies without fear of the lead edge sitting too high. The ES Grind was inspired by our Eye 2 wedge and its sole design delivers the ultimate in bunker performance, resulting from the classic dish profile along with the tapered hosel. A refined lead edge upgrades all-around performance with the iconic ES grind.
